ENTREPRENEUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The North Carolina Sustainable Entrepreneurs Group dba EntreDot™ (EntreDot™) and its board of directors, staff, experts, partners, contributors and mentors (Participants) provide business mentoring services and other resources to entrepreneurs (Users). The Users of these services and resources have certain rights and responsibilities.

User Rights

Users have a right to expect prompt, courteous, and professional mentoring services and to be advised if EntreDot™ is unable to provide services within the time frame required.

Users have a right to feel comfortable that all information shared with EntreDot™ and any of its Participants will be held in strictest confidence and will not be used to the commercial or other advantage of any Participant or by any third party.  Users also have the right to expect that User status with EntreDot™ will remain confidential and that no public use of User name or business identity will be made without prior approval. Please note, however, that EntreDot™ is funded in part by foundations as well as other public and private-sector agencies and organizations. Limited information with respect to User status (name, address, nature/scope of service, and amount of service) may be provided to those public agencies which fund EntreDot™ or which are responsible for auditing the financial and program performance of EntreDot™.

Users have a right to feel secure that no fee will be charged by EntreDot™ or its Participants for the general business mentoring services which are provided and that no fees may be paid to or accepted by EntreDot™ Participants for their services.

EntreDot™ Participants may engage in fee services with Users, if both agree, once the EntreDot™ mentoring services obligations have been completed.

Our Role

EntreDot™ mentors entrepreneurs who are either starting a new business or are operating a small business in its early stages. We will not make business decisions or judgments for Users, although we will make recommendations and suggestions as appropriate. These will be based upon our best efforts to apply the experience and resources that are available in order to assist Users in making their own business decisions.

The mentoring services which are provided to Users are intended to help entrepreneurs succeed in business, resulting in increased jobs and revenues. They are not intended to compete with, replace, or be a substitute for services which are available from the public or private sector.

User Responsibilities

You will be expected to cooperate with EntreDot™ in its ongoing efforts to assure the quality and effectiveness of the mentoring services which it provides.  In this respect, EntreDot™ asks all Users who receive mentoring services to complete a written report of the services provided on a quarterly basis.

Limited Liability

In consideration of EntreDot™ furnishing Users with free mentoring services, Users agree to waive all claims against EntreDot™, Participants who are providing services for EntreDot™, contractors and licensors.

We welcome all Users and encourage them to call on us if they have any questions or comments regarding their rights and responsibilities or with respect to our services.

You can do so by contacting EntreDot™. Contact information is available on the website at www.entredot.org.
